Oceanman - Jul 31 to Aug 2, 2026 - 10th anniversary
Event Details
- Dates: July 31 to August 2, 2026.
- Location: Primarily centered at Playa Palancar in San Miguel de Cozumel.
Race Formats: The event features six different distances catering to various skill levels:
- -Oceanman (10 km): The flagship distance; mandatory safety buoy required.
- -Half Oceanman (5 km): A mid-distance challenge.
- -Sprint (1.5 km): A fast-paced race for speed or beginners.
- -Oceanfins (1.5 km): A specialty category for swimming with fins.
- -OceanTeams (3 x 500 m): A relay race for teams of three.
- -OceanKids (500 m): A youth race for children aged 7–14.
Competition Schedule
The races are distributed over two main days:
- -Saturday, August 1: Sprint, Oceanfins, OceanKids, and OceanTeams.
- -Sunday, August 2: 10 km Oceanman and 5 km Half Oceanman.
World Final Qualification: The top 10 finishers in each age category (excluding Oceanfins and OceanTeams) earn a slot for the World Final in the Dominican Republic.
Conditions: Swimmers can expect water temperatures around 28ºC (82ºF) and clear Caribbean visibility.
Participation: For this milestone 10th anniversary, organizers have reported high interest, with registration reaching 70% capacity as early as March 2026.
